I realize it sounds counterintuitive to suggest that it’s okay not to be yourself. But there are moments in life when striving to be better means evolving beyond your current self, and that’s perfectly acceptable…commendable even.
Human beings are not static entities. We are constantly evolving, learning, and adapting to new situations. Embracing change and striving to be better is an intrinsic part of our nature. So, in a way, we’re always ‘being ourself’ by pursuing growth.
Sometimes, our current self may be limited by fears, insecurities, or outdated beliefs. By not being content with our present self, we can work on overcoming these limitations. This journey of self-improvement can lead to a more authentic version of who we are.
The idea of not being yourself at times is not about losing your identity or values. It’s about recognizing that personal growth is an ongoing journey. Embracing change and striving to be better is a way to align your current self with the ever-evolving, resilient, and adaptable individual that you are meant to be.
